Who we are
The London Centre for Eating Disorders and Body Image is a specialist private eating disorder clinic with offices in central London (W1), Richmond upon Thames (TW9), Central Manchester (M2), and Hertford (SG14).
We are a psychology-led service, consisting of Clinical and Counselling Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Dieticians, Family Therapists, and Occupational Therapists. We have extensive training and experience in treating the full range of eating, body image, and self-esteem disorders through our eating disorder therapy.
At the London Centre, we believe that it’s important to find not only the right clinician, but also the right treatment for you. So whilst we make sure we use evidence-based therapies, we also make sure that we listen to what you want, to help find the right eating disorder therapist near you and the right approach for you. We pride ourselves on our ability to provide highly specialist, holistic, and effective evidence-based treatments to all of our clients seeking eating disorder help.
What we do
We see people with a wide range of difficulties – emotional eating, binge eating disorder, bulimia nervosa, anorexia nervosa, body image issues, body dysmorphic disorder, ARFID, and many other food and mood-related issues. Whether you're seeking eating disorder therapy, body image therapy, or another form of support, we will always start with an assessment session, where we can discuss your difficulties and the impact they are having on you. There is no need to have a prior “diagnosis” or to have been referred by another professional to come and see us.
After an initial assessment, we are able to offer face-to-face or remote (online) individual or family treatment sessions.
You can see one of our clinical or counselling psychologists for individual psychological therapy, our family therapist for couples or family therapy sessions, and/or our dieticians or occupational therapist for specialist advice and guidance. At assessment, we can discuss your needs, find out what you want, and make recommendations about what might suit you best, whether it be eating disorder counselling or a tailored approach from our team at the private eating disorder clinic.
